10th edition of the Jazan Honey Festival; nearly 50 tonnes of the best honey varieties

The Cultural Center Square in Al-Edabi Governorate hosted the 10th edition of the Jazan Honey Festival, which allowed local beekeepers to showcase nearly 50 tonnes of the best honey varieties.

The festival, which is being organized by the local branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in collaboration with the Al-Edabi Governorate, aims to support the honey industry, enhance the local economy, and preserve a long-standing profession in the area.

A large selection of honeys, such as sidr, qitad, salam, samra, doum, dhahyan, talh, marrar, majra, sahah, and others, are available to festival attendees.

Over 1,000 tonnes of honey are produced annually in the area, which is well known for producing roughly 15 different kinds of honey throughout the year.

Honey sales have topped SR12 million ($3.2 million), over the last nine years, making the festival one of the most significant events of the Jazan Winter Season 2025.

The festival will run until November 11 and is anticipated to draw a huge crowd of tourists and shoppers.
