15th Klija Festival begins on February 8 at the King Khalid Cultural Center in Buraidah

EventAt the King Khalid Cultural Centre in Buraidah, the 15th Klija Festival gets underway on Thursday. 200 families, 20 artisans, and proprietors of historic enterprises that specialise in handicrafts are among the participants in the festival, which is being organised by the Qassim Chamber of Commerce. The event is open to anyone nationwide. Over 700 individuals will be contributing to the events over the 10-day celebration.
The festival's general supervisor, Muhammad Al-Hanaya, secretary-general of the Qassim Chamber of Commerce, commended Qassim Governor Prince Faisal bin Mishaal for his assistance in transforming the region's traditional delicacy, klija, into a competitive international brand. In the area of food, it has included Buraidah in the UNESCO Network of Creative Cities.
According to Al-Hanaya, the chamber wanted to provide jobs for working families by producing a well-liked product that would be sold at events and distribution centres all year long. The festival's executive director, Nayef Al-Munsaleh, announced that there would be food trucks and around 200 families present. The klija cookie will be promoted and displayed as the most well-liked product in the area.
He further mentioned that the event will have many rooms showcasing the goods and exhibits of manufacturers, families, and businesses. Along with them, there will be a historical section, a live klija cooking area, cafés, restaurants, a Ramadan area, and the headquarters of participating regions and nations.
The festival will also feature a children's theatre, a Roman theatre, an area dedicated to organic food and natural goods, and a daycare facility.
