18th Al-Jouf International Olive Festival will be held until January 12

The 18th Al-Jouf International Olive Festival provides an interesting experience by highlighting the olives' journey from agriculture to final product. The event, which runs until January 12 at the Prince Abdullah Cultural Center in Sakaka, focuses on the Al-Jouf region's olive production, which contains over 23 million trees that produce more than 150,000 tonnes of table olives annually.

The festival will feature 43 local farmers and five agricultural companies selling high-quality olive oil, table olives, and other products.

The products' quality is ensured by seven analyses: acidity, rancidity, moisture, chemical content, oil mixing, taste, and authenticity. The SPA noted that those that succeed will obtain a certification label to boost customer confidence.

The festival has also grown into a major tourism and economic event for the Kingdom and the Al-Jouf region, attracting a large number of people and investors. It also helps families in cottage industries, entrepreneurs, and small enterprises by providing locations to present their products, supporting growth and improving consumer reach.

The event also honors Saudi history with folk art performances, the Saudi Ardah, traditional attire, Sadu weaving, plastic arts, poetry, and cultural evenings.
