94th National Day; Commercial establishments and e-stores allowed to give 2-week special discount for consumers from September 16 to 30

To commemorate the 94th National Day, the Ministry of Commerce declared that Saudi Arabian businesses and online retailers would be permitted to offer customers a special two-week discount. September 16–September 30, 2024, is when the discount will be applied. 

Seasonal discount permits are available for electronic application at sales.mc.gov.sa for commercial businesses and online retailers. Commercial businesses and online retailers should be able to readily get discount licenses, print them, and display them to customers thanks to the electronic application. The maximum number of days per year for discount sales that was previously set aside will not include these discount days. 

The ministry stated that customers can use a mobile device's camera to scan the barcode found on the discount license to view all information pertaining to the discounts, including the type and percentage of discounts, their duration, and the establishment's data. This allows customers to confirm the legitimacy and legality of the discounts. 

The ministry reaffirmed that its representatives would keep visiting businesses and online retailers in every area of the Kingdom to conduct inspections in order to confirm the legitimacy of any discounts offered and to ensure that its own laws are being followed.
