A new salary scale for diplomatic jobs approved to address the challenges facing members of the diplomatic corps

NewsA new pay structure for diplomatic positions was adopted on Tuesday during the Council of Ministers' weekly meeting. The committee responsible for determining the Civil Service Law's executive regulations drafted the new regulation pertaining to diplomatic positions. This regulation was formulated in partnership between the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to address the challenges facing members of the diplomatic corps. This is aimed at achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the state’s comprehensive care for its employees inside and outside Saudi Arabia.
A number of development aspects are covered by the new regulation for diplomatic jobs and salary scales, including technical competencies, career path building, fast paths for advancement based on performance and excellence, reviewing the pay and benefit levels, creating training programmes that meet the demands of work in the diplomatic corps, developing diplomatic competencies, and attracting and keeping talent.
