A workshop is being held for students enrolled in its “Excellence Program” for enrollment into prestigious world-class universities

The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) is hosting a workshop this week for students who are part of its "Excellence Programme" to help them get ready to apply to prominent colleges throughout the world. In order to prepare for the standardised SAT exam, up to 181 exceptional male and female students will get comprehensive and intense instruction.

With the assistance of a specialised American consulting firm, the training programme will be carried out. By exposing students to various tactics that help them complete the exam efficiently, the programme aims to provide students with advanced skills necessary to pass the SAT.

The Mawhibah offers an integrated training programme called the "Excellence Programme for Admission to Prestigious Universities" to exceptional secondary school students who meet the requirements to be sent to prestigious American universities like Harvard, Princeton, Cornell, MIT, and other universities that are ranked in the top 30 in the world under the Foreign Scholarship Programme.

Beginning at the conclusion of the first semester of the second year of secondary school, the one-year training programme would last for a full year, or until the student was accepted into the foreign institution, where a mix of in-person and remote learning would be used to carry out the programme.

The applicant must meet certain requirements in order to be eligible for the "Excellence Programme," including being a second-year secondary school student and scoring at least 1000 on the SAT, 80 on the TOEFL iBT, or 6.5 on the IELTS Academic test. In both the first and third intermediate years, the student must have a grade of at least 90%. In addition to completing the personal interview, the student must receive a minimum of 90 in the scientific, computer, and English language courses throughout their third and first intermediate years.

Numerous other services are also offered by the programme, such as four counselling sessions to monitor the student's progress, assist and advise him in meeting the requirements for admission to esteemed international universities, and help him complete application forms and submit all requirements on time. The training workshop on university application procedures covers essay writing, extracurricular activities, and filling out the form to obtain recommendations.

It is notable that 1,108 students have taken part in the programme since its launch in 2016. Of those, 648 applied to the top international colleges, and 550 of those students—both male and female—were admitted into prestigious universities.
