NewsSaleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transportation and Logistic Services, has introduced the "Naqil" Administrative Communication System for the transportation and logistics services. Al-Jasser reaffirmed that the platform's introduction will aid in the development of work processes and the preservation of documents and transactions among all workers of the transportation and logistics system during a ceremony conducted in Riyadh in the presence of many system executives. In addition to raising the standards of openness, security, and secrecy of information, it will also secure papers and correspondence, according to Al-Jasser. He urged every system employee to use the platform to their advantage in all of their everyday dealings.
The minister noted that Naqil is a substitute for the conventional Administrative Communication System, which first went into operation in 1438 AH and is concerned with transmitting and receiving transactions electronically through a variety of channels. It has elements that minimise unauthorised use while also enhancing the security of information and documents.
Ahmed bin Sufyan Al-Hasan, assistant minister for transport and logistical services, said that his department was among the first in the federal government to invest in and step up its efforts in the direction of digital transformation. He said that the ministry had completed significant steps towards digital transformation over the last several years, enhancing the quality of services offered to those who benefited from the logistics services sector through the many features and functions of the Naqil system.
In addition to improving performance indicators through the complete transformation of e-transactions and presenting them in a distinguished way for all the beneficiaries of the ministry and the system, the launch of the Naqil system comes to realise the vision of the wise leadership and their efforts made in the area of digital transformation. It also activates technology between departments in all entities of the transport and logistics system.
The ministry achieved 100% e-transformation of transactions in October 2021, demonstrating its ongoing efforts to finish work processes digitally and do away with paper in order to protect the environment and keep up with the technological renaissance that Saudi Arabia is experiencing across a variety of industries.
