Al Hilal emerged victorious over Al Nassr to claim the King Cup in a thrilling match

Al Hilal defeated their bitter rivals Al Nassr in an exciting game played at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah to win the King Cup. Both teams received three red cards apiece during the exciting match, which finished 1-1 after regulation and overtime. Penalties proved Al Hilal's supremacy, as they won thanks to goalie Bono's valiant efforts. 

Aleksandar Mitrović gave Al Hilal the lead in the 87th minute, but Ayman Yahya of Al Nassr tied the score in the 87th, forcing extra time. It appeared that Hilal would win this one. 

Yasser Al-Shahrani replaced Brazilian Lodi in the second half by Jesus. Despite a late offside ruling, Cristiano Ronaldo came dangerously close to scoring for Al Nassr with a stunning bicycle kick that struck the post. 

When Al Nassr's goalkeeper David Ospina handled the ball outside the box during a breakaway attack by Malcom in the 56th minute, the team suffered a blow.

Al Hilal suffered a further setback when central defender Koulibaly was sent off, which put them at a severe numerical disadvantage against a revitalized Al Nassr just as the game appeared to be fairly balanced. 

After extra time ended without any further goals being scored, Al Hilal won the penalty shootout.
