NewsAl-Safiyyah Museum and Park was officially opened by Prince Salman bin Sultan, the emir of Madinah and chairman of the board of the Madinah Region Development Authority. Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal, the deputy emir of the Madinah area and vice chairman of the board of the authority, as well as Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, were present at the inauguration ceremony.
The Al-Safiyyah Museum & Park is situated in the southern Central Area of Haram, with an area of more than 4,400 square metres. Three key features will comprise the museum and park: a public garden, a cultural museum, and waterways. Commercial establishments such as restaurants, cafés, and souvenir stores will also be present.
Prince Salman bin Sultan received an overview of the main features and amenities of Al-Safiyyah Museum and Park at the opening ceremony. He also took a tour of the "Story of Creation" museum, which tells the tale of creation from the beginning of the cosmos to the prophets' and messengers' lives in an integrated presentation that makes use of audio-visual technology. The cognitive story that guests encounter within the museum is what the museum depends on. The emir saw an assortment of rare artifacts and museum exhibits.
Al-Safiyyah Museum & Park seeks to raise living standards, enhance the cultural offerings of Madinah, and enhance the cultural experiences of pilgrims travelling there for the Hajj and Umrah.
Samaya Investment Company carried out the project in collaboration with 15 foreign consulting firms. Strategically placed palm groves provide shade to the stores and cafés, while water fountains around terraces. To draw tourists and visitors to Madinah Haram's Central Area, it also uses integrated audio-visual capabilities and digital museum exhibits.
