Almost 167,000 Saudis have joined the workforce in the last 12 months with the revised Nitaqat programme

Through the upgraded Nitaqat programme, more than 167,000 Saudis entered the labour market in the last 12 months, increasing the total number of Saudis working through the programme to 480,000. During the 13th Social Dialogue Forum, Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, disclosed this information.

With the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in attendance, the Forum was arranged by the Ministry in collaboration with the King Abdulaziz Centre for Cultural Communication (KACND) in Riyadh. Government, employer, and worker representatives were present, along with representatives from the three producing parties.

According to Engineer Al-Rajhi, the percentage of Saudis who profited from the qualitative localization choices also rose. He also announced the introduction of the Training Vouchers and Skills Accelerator programmes, which intend to teach over 322,000 private sector workers across 126 professions in order to acquire high, mid, and low-level skills for national cadres.hroughout his address, reaffirmed the MHRSD's desire to collaborate with all of its labour market partners and to view them as critical components of achievement, growth, and empowerment.

In line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, he also emphasised the significance of seizing opportunities, resolving issues, and making choices that would improve the labour market's efficiency in order to build a thriving and empowered society as well as a distinguished workplace that would support the country's economy.
