Archives in the Digital Age forum will be hosted by the Saudi National Center for Archives and Records from February 16 to 18, 2025

A three-day symposium on the effective use of digital technology for document preservation and storage is scheduled for next year in Riyadh. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi National Centre for Archives and Records will organise the Archives in the Digital Age event from February 16–18, 2025. Participants will talk about the advantages and difficulties of implementing successful digital transformation in government organisations and departments.

The conference's goals, according to the center's director general, Faisal Al-Tamimi, were identifying international best practices in digital archiving, investigating how relevant institutions may employ them, and examining the experiences of Saudi government agencies and other nations.

Targeting government archivists, experts in various fields, computer experts, cybersecurity and data management professionals, faculty members and students from Saudi, Gulf, and Arab universities, the conference would focus on topics like archives, big data, cloud computing, cybersecurity, AI apps, and archival practices, as per Al-Tamimi.
