On Wednesday, authorities in the holy city of Makkah announced that Umrah participants will be given free luggage storage.
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has stated that free storage facilities are available to the east and west of the Grand Mosque, near the Makkah Library and Gate 64, respectively.
Umrah performers must present their permissions using the Nusuk app to gain entrance to the facilities.
Umrah performers can store bags weighing up to 7 kilograms (not loose stuff) for a maximum of four hours. Valuables, forbidden products, food, and medicine are not allowed. A claim ticket must be supplied for retrieval.
