An initiative titled ‘Be a Broadcaster,’ will be launched by the Saudi Media Forum and that is in conjunction with the activities of its second edition, scheduled to be held in Riyadh on February 20-21.
The first of its kind initiative in the Kingdom to qualify Saudi broadcasters, will be implemented in participation with three media institutions represented by the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA), MBC Media Group and Rotana Channels Network, and Al-Arabiya Channel.
The initiative includes a field experiment to evaluate young talented persons through a specialized arbitration committee comprising of competent media persons with vast experiences in diverse fields. The program includes several tracks for auditions and the qualification of competitors for television, radio, and podcast presentation.
The media agencies participating in the program will provide the competitors with the opportunity to learn about scientific concepts and practical applications in the field of producing media content in digital and various other forms. This partnership will enable the Saudi Media Forum to groom talented persons and provide them with promising career opportunities by opening employment paths in different specializations for those who have achieved impressive results.
The Saudi Media Forum President and CEO of SBA Mohammed Al-Harthi said that the authority’s participation in such development initiatives comes within the framework of assuming its inherent role in contributing to building young national competencies capable of keeping pace with the rapid developments in the media industry.
He stressed that the authority is determined to provide the necessary support for the success of this program by harnessing its advanced resources and benefiting from the outputs of this program. The initiative aims to provide an incubating environment for talented persons in the field of visual media and audio production, as well as to enable them to keep pace with the rapid developments taking place in the media arena in the field of visual and audio production.
