Bienalsur contemporary art exhibition in Diriyah will be running till December 31

The Bienalsur contemporary art exhibition is being held in Diriyah by the Saudi Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the National University of Tres de Febrero in Argentina. The International Contemporary Art Biennial of South America, or travelling Bienalsur, is in its third season and will be open until December 31 in the Saudi Arabia Museum of Contemporary Art's temporary hall in Jax, Diriyah.

"Imagine: Fantasia, Dreams, Utopia" is the title of the show, which features innovative works by 26 well-known Saudi and international artists. The exhibition's artwork seeks to change the way the observer views space in order to highlight novel or surprising features that spark creativity and imagination.

Visitors are taken on an alternate journey between reality and imagination by the artworks on show, which allow them to experience the surroundings through a combination of creativity and fantasy. The exhibition showcased the King Saud University Museum's expertise in flora and archaeology and included the largest palm tree in Saudi Arabia, a big desert rose, and a display of other plants and archaeology gathered from around the Kingdom.

The Biosphere Project, whose goal is to increase awareness of the Earth's fragility and the need to care for it, was one of the exhibitions. An ecosystem made up of plants and other species housed in securely enclosed spheres, which produce their food and release oxygen into the medium utilised by other organisms, is used to symbolise the Earth. As a result, a symbiotic connection is formed in which one creature depends on the other to survive.
