The launch of the "Children to Stay" project, which is organized by the National Campaign to Rationalize Energy Consumption To Stay was sponsored by Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman , in the presence of the Minister of Education Yousef Bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, on Monday. It is one of the initiatives and programs of the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center in cooperation with the Ministry of Education at the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) in Riyadh, targeting children aged 4-12 years.
The ceremony, which was attended by several officials in the public and private sectors, and with the participation of a distinguished group of children, included activities and introductory presentations that were fully carried out by children.
The project will focus on various messages, including awareness of the importance of energy in the Kingdom and its role in prosperity and development, a sense of responsibility in energy consumption, encouragement of its rationalization, awareness of the effects of different energy consumption patterns, and methods and behaviors of energy saving.
This is in addition to publishing educational programs and cartoon series and holding mobile exhibitions in various cities across the Kingdom, to educate children about energy consumption in an attractive manner, and the best consumption behaviors using modern tools and means that suit their age.
