NewsThis Ramadan General Directorate of Passports at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Airport in Madinah is ensuring that Umrah performers enter the country smoothly. To facilitate pilgrims' admission into the Kingdom, the directorate has initiated a comprehensive approach incorporating highly skilled individuals and state-of-the-art technology.
Mobile counters, security documentation devices, and biometric equipment for expedited identification have all been installed. Pilgrims from all over the globe may converse with Saudi border guards in 137 different languages, with translation gadgets. At entry points, multilingual welcoming staff assist pilgrims as well.
Performers of the Umrah have been reminded by the General Directorate of Passports of the need of following arrival guidelines and instructions. Travellers are advised to contact the unified call centre (992) round-the-clock or ask questions of passport officials at entrance points.
In the meantime, the directorate, which is part of the Ministry of Interior, has collaborated with the Ministry of Culture to present a unique passport stamp for the Ramadan Season. The stamp honours the rich cultural legacy, traditions, and practices of the month-long fast.
Throughout Ramadan, travellers can obtain the stamp by stopping at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam.
