Construction of a new SR1.3 billion entertainment destination in Madinah aiming to transform the entertainment landscape of the region

Saudi Entertainment Ventures has announced the start of construction of a new SR1.3 billion ($350 million) entertainment complex in Madinah. The construction will be carried out by a joint venture between Al-Bawani and UrbaCon Trading & Contracting Co.

Seven Chairman Abdullah Al-Dawood said: “Our entertainment destination in Madinah will transform the entertainment landscape of the region and bring new, unique and exciting experiences to the people of Madinah.” According to him, the project was created to "improve the quality of life for millions of Saudis."

The entertainment complex will be developed close to King Fahad Central Park and will encompass more than 100,000 square metres with a built-up area of more than 84,000 square metres. According to the developer, it will have open walks and gardens to mix with and enrich the current landscape. The attraction will feature an e-karting circuit reaching more than 330 metres across two floors, as well as a variety of exciting thrills located within a 4,000-square-metre family entertainment centre.

A Discovery Adventures centre will also be available for guests to participate in trekking adventures, tree house trails, and other jungle-themed challenges and educational missions, as well as a Play-Doh entertainment centre to inspire children's imagination and creativity. The entertainment complex will also have a cutting-edge theatre with Imax and VIP screens, as well as a 10-lane futuristic bowling alley. A wellness centre will allow guests to unwind and revitalise, while a variety of foreign and local food and beverage outlets will keep them fed and watered.

Seven is spending more than SR50 billion in the building of 21 entertainment locations throughout 14 cities in Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh, Abha, Makkah, Jeddah, Taif, Yanbu, and Buraidah. The fully owned business of the Kingdom's sovereign wealth fund PIF is tasked with investing in, developing, and operating entertainment venues that meet the requirements of all Saudis.
