Designs for the Global Sports Tower, a prominent landmark within the Sports Boulevard project have been approved

Designs for the Global Sports Tower, a prominent landmark within the Sports Boulevard project on Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road, have been approved by the board of directors of the Sports Boulevard Foundation (SBF), which is chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

With a height of 130 metres, the Global Sports Tower is expected to be the highest sports tower worldwide. About 84,000 square metres make up the interior space. In addition to the biggest indoor climbing wall in the world (98 metres high), there will be over 30 other sports facilities. Climbing is the fastest-growing activity in the world, and the wall provides possibilities for climbers of all skill levels, from novice to expert.

The highest  running track in the world will be atop the skyscraper. With a 250-meter circuit that is fully digital, any athlete may have an exceptional training experience while taking in one of the greatest views of Riyadh.

The Global Sports Tower, the world's largest sports tower and a prominent feature of the Sports Boulevard project, will be crucial to realising Saudi Vision 2030's goals. The skyscraper is expected to raise Riyadh's standard of living and establish the city as one of the world's top ten economies.

An innovative idea called Sports Boulevard will provide a place that unifies all facets of life. This project is meant to serve as a link between Riyadh and a futuristic metropolitan environment, with the potential to boost the Kingdom's economy and worldwide stature.

Over 135 km of secure green walkways for bicyclists, runners, horseback riders, and pedestrians connect Wadi Hanifah in the west with Wadi Al Sulai in the east as part of the Sports Boulevard project, which is situated along Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road. Up to 50 diverse sports facilities and more than 4.4 million square metres of open space are part of the proposal. There are also a number of distinct locations and investment zones, with an overall size over 3 million square metres.

Driven by the ideas of Salmani architecture, which is centred on both originality and modernity, the tower stands out for its distinctive architectural design that complies with the Sports Boulevard Design Code. It stands out as a unique landmark along Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road and across the entire city of Riyadh since it adheres to these values.

By fostering sports and empowering the community with top-notch amenities that support the development of a sports culture among all societal members, the tower seeks to realise the objectives of the Sports Boulevard project and enhance the quality of life in Riyadh.
