Digital citizenship; and marketing campaigns planning and event management will be part of the curriculum for the students effective from the next academic year

Beginning with the next academic year, the third-year secondary school students' curriculum will include lessons on digital citizenship, designing marketing campaigns, and event management.

From reliable sources, Okaz/Saudi Gazette has learned that the Ministry of Education has authorised teaching these courses to secondary school pupils in both public and specialised tracks.

This is in keeping with the ministry's strategy to enhance educational outcomes in order to prepare school graduates for difficult jobs on the local labour market, following a thorough examination of the academic curriculum.

The ministry has finished putting together high-quality, specialised courses in subjects including earth and space sciences, artificial intelligence, software engineering, cybersecurity, healthcare, body systems, and legal principles, according to the sources. These curriculum would go along with Vision 2030's initiatives. According to the sources, the ministry has established requirements for secondary school students' graduation that include success in every subject of their three-year study plan, 40 hours of community service, and submitting and passing a graduation project.

Since approving the secondary track system for education two years ago, the ministry has worked to stay up with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 by carefully and thoroughly reviewing the curricula at this crucial time for students in public education. The goal of this is to create a professional generation that is prepared to enter the workforce after obtaining the essential skills and exposure to a range of scientific fields at the university level.

According to the sources, the ministry will support these curricula and ensure that they are continuously improved so that more secondary school graduates may pursue a variety of fields that serve the nation in the disciplines that are now needed. In contrast to its past emphasis on teaching religious sciences, Shariah, and literature, the Ministry of Education will now put more of an emphasis on courses with a precise and specialised scientific nature that are in line with the Kingdom's Vision and keeping up with the scientific and practical advancement of the modern world.
