On Wednesday, the Diriyah Gate Development Authority unveiled plans in favour of the Kingdom's revolutionary Vision 2030 and revealed the Wadi Safar project. The idea was revealed during Diriyah's Bashayer event, which drew a lot of notable attendees.
With the opening of three major resorts—Six Senses, Aman, and Oberoi—the gated enclave of Wadi Safar is expected to transform into an oasis in the heart of Riyadh.
Al-Bujairi Terrace, which opened in 2022 and has since grown to be a popular tourist destination, is just one example of how the DGDA has established a precedent for fusing respect for heritage with forward-thinking sustainable ventures. This is in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to establish Saudi Arabia as a global tourist destination.
The Six Senses at the Red Sea project, which is proud to pay honour to the area's Nabataean architectural heritage in the desert retreat of the Hijazi mountain, Southern Dunes became the first hotel to open. The company is now planning to expand into the middle of the nation.
World-class sports and entertainment facilities, such as the Royal Diriyah Golf Club and the Royal Diriyah Equestrian and Polo Club, are another goal of the DGDA.
The Bashayer event represents a significant turning point for the company as it moves forward with its second phase of unique experiences in hospitality, culture, art, entertainment, and sports. It offers an opportunity to explore and discover both the Wadi Safar and Diriyah masterplans, from hotels and restaurants to museums and galleries.
Additional celebrations of Diriyah projects will take place at the Bashayer event till December 14.
