NewsThree luxury hotels—Aman, Oberoi, and Six Senses—all situated in the centre of Diriyah—marked the launching of their inaugural Bashayer event on Wednesday, marking a significant step towards sustainable and culturally rich hospitality. These improvements, which are essential to the Wadi Safar master plan, demonstrate Diriyah's commitment to providing eco-friendly and authentically cultural hospitality, in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
The first day of Bashayer demonstrated more developments in Diriyah's metamorphosis. The recently opened Wadi Safar Experience Centre and Eastern Gate contribute to the area's charm, improving accessibility and tourist experience and solidifying Wadi Safar's standing as a cutting-edge tourism hotspot in Diriyah.
The Royal Diriyah Golf Club update was a major feature of the day's activities. With the completion of its initial nine holes and the addition of a state-of-the-art driving range, this project—which includes a course designed by golfing icon Greg Norman—solidified Diriyah's ambitions to become one of the world's premier golf destinations.
A major step towards becoming a worldwide equestrian hub was taken with the founding of the Royal Diriyah Equestrian and Polo Club, which polo great Nacho Figueras attended. This top-notch facility is evidence of Diriyah's rising reputation as a top sports and leisure destination. It is well-positioned to host a range of international equestrian competitions.
This event, which is being managed by Ahmed Al Khateeb, a board member of the Diriyah Company and Minister of Tourism, marks a significant turning point in Diriyah's continued development. It embodies the values and goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and honours the rich history of the country's founding city while outlining a sustainable, opulent urban lifestyle for the future.
