Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement signed between Saudi Arabia and Qatar; aims to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion

NewsA Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) was signed on Thursday in Doha by the finance ministers of Qatar, Ali Al Kuwari, and Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Aljadaan. According to a Ministry of Finance press release, the agreement attempts to eliminate double taxation and prevent tax cheating.
In an effort to promote trade and draw in regional investments, Aljadaan stated that the agreement is a component of Saudi Arabia and Qatar's efforts to improve legislative coordination.
Al Kuwari emphasized the significance of this agreement and how it supports global transparency standards by exchanging documented financial data within the framework of the two countries' shared commitment to enhancing coordination and cooperation in tax matters and economic relations.
