Emergency session of the Summit of Arab heads will be held in Riyadh on November 11

Saudi Arabia will host an emergency meeting of the Summit of Arab heads of state and government on Saturday, November 11, in Riyadh.

According to a report published on Tuesday by Al-Sharq Bloomberg, the General Secretariat of the Arab League declared that it had received formal requests from Saudi Arabia and Palestine to convene an extraordinary summit session of the Arab League Council. The 32nd Arab League session is being chaired by Saudi Arabia.

The summit will be held to debate the ongoing Israeli assault against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, according to Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League Ambassador Hossam Zaki. This request was made officially on Monday by Saudi Arabia and Palestine to the General Secretariat.
