Federation of Saudi Chambers announced the formation of first special national committee of its kind for food security

Under the auspices of the private sector, the Federation of Saudi Chambers announced the establishment of the first special national committee for food security. 

This action aligns with the Federation's directives to stay up to date with the contemporary economic domains that Vision 2030 addresses, including food security. In order to guarantee the availability of important commodities and consumables and to strengthen the strategic reserves, the Vision introduced a number of projects and programmes.

This movement aligns with the goals of the food security strategy, which include developing an institutional business model, achieving a sustainable local food production system for goods with a competitive advantage, and achieving diversity and stability of external food sources.
