FIFA Congress 2024 formally announced that Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 World Cup

During its virtual meeting on Wednesday, the Extraordinary FIFA Congress 2024 formally declared Saudi Arabia as the 2034 World Cup host. The news was made at the conference by Giovanni Infantino, president of the Federation Internationale De Football Association (FIFA). 

The 2030 World Cup will be hosted by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal, with Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay hosting commemorative matches, according to the FIFA Congress.

Saudi Arabia will be the first nation to host the FIFA World Cup in its new configuration, which will include 48 nations—16 more than the 2022 Qatar World Cup did. 

The upcoming 2026 World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Six nations will host the 2030 World Cup, while Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 tournament.

The FIFA news is a turning point in Saudi Arabia's amazing and stunning ascent to prominence in the world of sports. Reflecting the goals of Vision 2030, the World Cup will further establish the Kingdom as a leader in hosting major athletic events.
