First edition of Cultural Talents Tournament was announced a success by Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan

The Ministry of Culture in coordination with the Ministry of Education had launched the first edition of the Cultural Talents Tournament, by attracting 247,000 male and female creative participants from Saudi schools. Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan announced the success of the tournament.

The competition opened its doors for the first time to male and female students from the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades of elementary schools, apart from the intermediate and secondary levels.

The competition, the first of its kind in the Kingdom, is aimed at discovering and developing the talents of the Saudi younger generations to innovate and create a bright future in the cultural and artistic fields. The competition aims to discover and develop the talents and skills of students in the cultural and artistic fields, as well as to preserve the Saudi heritage and raise awareness about it, direct the passion of male and female students to practice various cultural and artistic fields, and achieve the optimal investment of the energies of male and female students.

The winners of the completion will be awarded prizes amounting to a total of more than SR5 million. The first place winner will get prize money amounting to SR100000 while the second place winner will receive SR75,000 and the third place winner will get SR50,000.

According to the rules of the competition, the participants would have to go through seven phases. The first phase, which was held during the period from January 25 to March 2 of this year, focused on discovering the creativity of the participants and this phase was followed by sorting and filtering during the period from February 26 to March 4.

The third phase, which involves the process of training the contestants will take place through a virtual interactive program that includes all the tracks of the competition and uploading creative entries during the period that started on March 5 and will continue until March 29.

In the fourth phase, the evaluation process will be carried out in the presence of specialized committees according to specific criteria during the period from April 2 to 25 April, and the winners will be honored at the education departments across the Kingdom during the period from April 26 to May 11 in the fifth phase.

In the succeeding two phases, the training camp, and voting will be held from May 14 to May 25, where the best male and female students will be selected to participate in a physical training camp that works to refine their skills, while the closing ceremony and announcement of the results of the winners will take place on May 28 in the final phase.
