First edition of the Human Capability Initiative is scheduled to take place on February 28, and 29, 2024 in Riyadh

The Human Capability Initiative (HCI) will have its first event in the Saudi capital of Riyadh on February 28 and 29, 2024. Under the patronage of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman, who also serves as head of the Human Capability Development Programme Committee, one of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 Realisation Programmes, the Human Capability Initiative (HCI) intends to strengthen human capability.

Under the theme "Future Readiness," the initiative's inaugural edition will bring together over 6,000 experts, decision-makers, and over 150 international keynote speakers from government, business, and non-profit organisations, as well as think tanks from over 50 countries at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Centre in Riyadh.

The experts, decision-makers, and presenters will explore meaningful conversations, forge partnerships, and grasp global prospects for the advancement of human capabilities. HCI will highlight successful cases of human capacity development and its relationship to economic growth, as well as how to fortify the ecosystem supporting this process. It will also encourage the construction of novel policies and inventive solutions.

This combined effort will help create a sustainable global agenda that leads the way in developing solutions for human capacities in all age groups and ignites projects that foresee future difficulties and help create a bright future for all.

According to the Saudi minister of education, HCI will help create adaptable and robust economies that can withstand adversity in the future.
