News EventThe first-ever Riyadh Season original 5 vs 5 boxing bout has been announced, followed by another first-ever: the IV Crown Showdown. The tickets to the highly anticipated 5 vs 5 clash have just been released. The epic fights will include some of the most well-known heavyweight and world champion boxers. Furthermore, each major Riyadh event will include many championship belts.
5 vs 5 Riyadh Season fight
The 5 vs 5 is one of two new bouts added to the Season, and it will feature ten world champions from various weight classes competing for one of the top belts in their respective classes. The fight will feature some of the greatest names from Queensberry Promotions and Matchroom Boxing.
Frank Warren's elite five will face battle against Eddie Hearn's top picks in this huge confrontation.
Featherweight
The featherweight weight class will see British Nick Ball from Queensberry face up against Matchroom's reigning WBA World Featherweight champion Ray Ford.
Middleweight
The Middleweight bout will see Queensberry's Hamzah Sheeraz, the current WBO European light-middleweight champion, square off against Matchroom's resident southpaw Austin 'Ammo' Williams. The winner will have a crack at the WBC World Middleweight Championship.
Light Heavyweight
Queensberry's Willy Hutchinson will face Matchroom's Craig 'Spider' Richards in a technical display.
Heavyweight
The schedule includes a heavyweight showdown between former World Boxing Association heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois of Queensberry and Croatian boxer Filip Hrgovic of Matchroom. The fight will determine the first contender for the IBF World Heavyweight title.
Another heavyweight bout will pit Queensberry's Zhilei Zhang against Matchroom's Deontay Wilder, a former WBC world champion noted for his spectacular knockouts.
‘IV Crown Showdown’
Crown Showdown', the Season's next highlight, promises to be a historical bout between light heavyweight champions Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol. The appropriately called confrontation will pit unbeaten champions against one another for supremacy, with all four world title belts for the 175lbs weight class on the line.
The historic Queensberry vs Matchroom 5 against 5 fight event will take place at Kingdom Arena in Boulevard City, home of SPL's Al Hilal. The 26,000-seat stadium previously hosted 'Knockout Chaos,' during which Anthony Joshua won the title. The location of IV Crown Showdown is yet to be revealed.
