As part of the Jazan Winter Season, the first Jazan Book Fair was inaugurated on Tuesday by the Saudi Arabian Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission. The event, which is part of a plan to expand book fairs around the Kingdom, is being held at the Prince Sultan Cultural Center till February 17.
Along with a varied cultural program, the expo showcases prominent local, regional, and Arab publishing businesses. It features interactive and cultural events, a children's section with storytelling, writing, theater, and animation activities, and a discounted book department.
There will be more than 250 activities, including talks, seminars, and workshops given by Saudi and foreign specialists.
In honor of the Year of Handicrafts, the fair features a designated area for traditional crafts, emphasizing their cultural importance and conservation.
Daily hours for the fair are 11 a.m. to midnight, with the exception of Fridays, when it is open from 2 p.m. to midnight.
