First Saudi International Catering Conference to be hosted by Saudi Arabia from May 15-19

EventThe inaugural Saudi International Catering Conference will take place in Saudi Arabia from May 15–19 at the Makkah Chamber for Exhibitions and Events Centre.
Key industry figures from the packaging and industry sectors, crops and agricultural goods, and pilgrim catering services will attend the event, which aims to exchange experiences in the food and beverage business.
The Pilgrim Experience Programme, one of the most significant objectives of Vision 2030, has been designed to improve the Kingdom's supply of the greatest hospitality services to pilgrims, enhancing their visits to Makkah, Madinah, and other holy places.
SICC aims to provide manufacturers and suppliers with the tools they need to enhance their offerings and bring them into compliance with global standards. Along with fostering knowledge exchange between national and international enterprises, it also aspires to use technology to create new, successful businesses and solutions.
The Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry reports that SR88.191 billion ($23.518 billion) or 6.12 percent of the total volume of investments in the industrial sector is invested in the food goods sector in the Kingdom.
With around 1,183 establishments functioning in the Kingdom in 2021, food-related factories make for 14% of all factories nationwide. One of Saudi Arabia's main industries is food and subsistence, with imports estimated at 78% of total sales, or SR153 billion.
