Fourth Industrial Revolution Applications Hackathon; Participants include innovators and creators from a variety of industries

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in collaboration with the National Industry Development and Logistics Program, held the Fourth Industrial Revolution Applications Hackathon in the Saudi capital on Thursday.

More than 400 people have registered for the event, which runs until August 10. Participants include innovators and creators from a variety of industries, all of whom are focused on creating cutting-edge technical solutions to improve the adoption of applications related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution across four different tracks: industry, energy, mining, and logistics services.

The tech hackathon emphasises how important it is to use creative thinking while implementing technology from the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

With the help of over fifty experts and professionals who will provide workshops, advice sessions, and direction, participants will investigate how to utilise these technologies to create new solutions over the course of three days of collaborative work. Teams of participants will be formed with the four primary sectors of industry, energy, mining, and logistics as their emphasis.

A variety of engaging workshops were held on the first day of the hackathon with the aim of preparing participants and assisting them in developing fresh approaches that improve the usage of technology via creative concepts and techniques. These seminars also sought to provide participants with the resources they needed to advance their knowledge and abilities, helping to shape the next generation of tech-dependent individuals.

Additionally, participants will have the chance to interact with specialists in industries, energy, logistics, mining, and other sectors and technologies related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Several advising and consultation sessions as well as special workshops that promote the sharing of ideas and solutions while developing participants' abilities will be a part of the hackathon.
