GASCO announced an increase of SR1 per cylinder in prices of cooking gas or LPG effective from Sunday

The price of cooking gas or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) would increase by SR1 per cylinder as of Sunday, according to the National Gas and Industrialization Company (GASCO). GASCO said that it had received a letter from the Ministry of Energy on the adjustment in the selling rates of LPG effective as of Sunday, June 11, in a statement that was published on the website of the Saudi Stock Exchange (TADAWUL).

Value-added tax (VAT) is included in the cost of filling a new petrol cylinder but is not included in the transportation costs from distribution centres to retail locations. According to GASCO, future pricing adjustments won't have a material financial impact on the company's net profits. The previous cost to refill a petrol cylinder was SR18.85, including VAT, but did not include the cost of transportation from distribution centres to retail locations.
