General Directorate of Passports has announced its readiness to receive Umrah pilgrims

NewsThe General Directorate of Passports has said that it is all set to accommodate Umrah pilgrims who arrive at the Kingdom's border crossing sites during Ramadan. As per the Saudi Press Agency's report on Monday, the directorate guarantees a seamless and organised system for effective arrival and departure operations. It emphasised that all passport offices at border crossing locations were outfitted with trained personnel and tools, including mobile passport processing counters and dual translation devices.
The directorate also emphasised how crucial it is to follow rules and guidelines in order to complete Umrah from the time of arrival to the point of departure.
In the meantime, the Haramain High Speed Railway in Saudi Arabia has declared its preparedness to receive pilgrims and guests to the Two Holy Mosques during Ramadan.
Over 2,700 rail journeys are offered during Ramadan, according to the authorities—a 9% increase from the previous year. Additionally, seat availability increased by 26% to surpass 1.3 million.
The company stressed that more workers and travel are planned for as part of the Ramadan operating strategy, which accounts for increased capacity. In addition, train timetables will be changed to correspond with Makkah and Madinah's prayer hours.
