HADAF revealed that more than 25,000 Saudi women have benefited from the Qurrah Program

From the program's inception in November 2017 until September 2023, over 25,000 Saudi women have benefitted from the Supporting Childcare for Working Women (Qurrah) initiative, according to the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF), which is part of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. The Qur'an provides SR1600 for each kid enrolled in the programme, supporting Saudi women workers. A total of 26,750 children have benefitted from the programme, and there are around 1,200 hospitality centres offering children's hospitality services licenced under the programme spread throughout the Kingdom.

The HADAF's Qurrah programme is an online service that offers creche services in Saudi Arabia. Its goal is to assist the growth of Saudi women who work in the private sector while also enhancing and developing the surroundings and infrastructure of the children's hospitality industry. By establishing a framework for communication amongst hospitality facilities, the service enables the marketing of such facilities to parents searching for effective creche facilities to enrol their kids in.

The program's objectives are to empower Saudi women in the workplace, increase their involvement in the workforce, support stable employment, and guarantee their consistency in the workforce while giving them peace of mind regarding the care their children receive in one of the authorised centres via the Qurrah platform. With a maximum sum of SR1600 per kid and no upper limit on the number of children, it helps to pay up to 50% of the costs associated with hosting children from birth to age six.

Several advancements in the labour market and beneficiary needs were addressed by the Qurrah programme. These included the creation of an electronic registration journey and support mechanism, as well as the facilitation of an electronic payment process via the website. Through the official HADAF website, it also empowers working women who have social insurance registration and have met the requirements to register for the Qur'ah programme.
