Hajj Security Committee in Jeddah; attendees reviewed major developments in plans of the security sectors deployed in Makkah and Madinah

Lt. Gen. Muhammad Al-Bassami, Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, presided over the committee's meeting on Sunday at the Public Security headquarters in Jeddah. 

Al-Bassami welcomed the participants to the conference on behalf of Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, the interior minister and head of the Supreme Hajj Committee. In order to ensure pilgrims' safety and security during this year's Hajj season, he said, the purpose of this meeting was to discuss integrated plans between the military and security agencies involved in providing security services to God's guests and to strengthen cooperation in implementing these plans. 

The participants went over the most recent changes to the security forces stationed in Madinah, the Holy Sites, and the holy city of Makkah in order to protect God's guests while they carried out their rites.
