For the first time, Riyadh will host the global Billboard Arabia Music Awards (BBAMA) event, which honors the world's most streamed songs and performers. In addition to being the first event in the Arab world to showcase Arabic music and Arabic music culture, the Billboard Music Awards Arabia will be the first to concentrate on digital data gathered from international streaming and video platforms.
The Hot 100, Artist 100, and the recently introduced dialect charts (Khaleeji, Egyptian, Levantine, and Magharebi) as well as the genre-specific charts (Arabic Hip-Hop, Arabic Indie, Shelat, and Mahraganat) will all be taken into consideration when choosing the BBAMA winners. The charts on Billboard Arabia adhere to the standards that the Billboard brand has established over the past 80 years.
