The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has started granting Umrah visas for the post-Hajj season, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Umrah visas will be issued once the annual pilgrimage of Hajj concludes on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the ministry declared that it is working relentlessly to execute smart leadership orders to accommodate more Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and provide services that match their requirements and ambitions.
Beginning May 23, the ministry suspended providing Umrah permits through the Nusuk application for a one-month period. This was done to make it easier and more comfortable for Hajj pilgrims to complete their rites at Makkah. The government then announced that the Nusuk App would resume issuing Umrah visas on Dhul Hijjah 15, or June 21.
According to the ministry's latest statement, the resumption of Umrah visa issuance will facilitate the seamless arrival of Umrah pilgrims to the Kingdom. "This annual initiative comes right after the Hajj season. It draws on the ministry's knowledge and implements technical and field programs to serve Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and facilitate their rites," the ministry said in a statement.
