NewsThe most recent terms and conditions for service centres and petrol stations have been released, according to the Saudi Permanent Executive Committee for petrol Stations and Service Centres. This is intended to accomplish the objectives of Vision 2030 in this crucial area as well as to regulate and grow the industry in accordance with worldwide advancements and standards in the energy sector.
According to the committee, the revised regulations help to improve the standard of services offered by fuel stations and service centres by regulating the process of creating, managing, running, and maintaining them. The need that gasoline stations be run by establishments certified to manage, run and maintain service centres and petrol stations is the most notable of these criteria.
There should be a separation between petrol stations that are found within and outside of cities. In addition, there are specifications for tanks, pumps, cleanliness, upkeep, and product availability.
The amended conditions provide that, with the exception of the corrective periods mentioned in the requirements, site requirements, and station placement distances, existing stations have a 12-month time during which they may make corrections.
The Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Ministry of Interior represented by the General Directorate of Civil Defence, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Transport and Logistics, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Ministry of Media, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture represented by the National Centre for Environmental Compliance made the decision regarding the updating of the terms.
