NewsHolders of various sorts of visit visas who are staying in the Kingdom are urged by the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) to rigorously adhere to the visa's norms and regulations and to electronically extend their validity seven days before to its expiration. It made clear that visiting the Jawazat offices is not necessary in order to complete the renewal process.
The directorate stated that the Ministry of Interior's electronic services platform Absher allows the single entrance visit visa to be renewed seven days prior to its expiration. The Muqeem electronic platform, Absher Aamal for businesses, and Absher Afrad for individuals are the channels via which the renewal can be completed.
The beneficiary must pay the service charge for the visit visa extension by logging into his Absher account. The guest must have current medical insurance in order to be granted the extension. The processes for extending a visa must be followed in compliance with the listed terms and conditions. The visit visa's total extension term cannot be longer than 180 days.
According to the directorate, recipients can file a request to the Jawazat via its communication service on the Absher platform if they experience any difficulty using this service electronically. According to a statement from the directorate, the specialised team will review the case and text message the status of the request.
