King Salman has approved hosting 1,000 Umrah pilgrims around the world during the year 2024

King Salman, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has given his approval to receive 1,000 Umrah pilgrims from all around the world, in 2024. According to the Saudi Press Agency, this is part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Programme for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit, which is being carried out by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance.

The King, Crown Prince, and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman were commended for this kind act by Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance. According to him, this demonstrates the rulers' enormous concern for Islam and Muslims, their efforts to fortify the ties of brotherhood among Muslims throughout the globe, and their productive interactions with individuals working in many spheres of Islamic endeavour.

According to Al-Sheikh, 1,000 well-known Muslims from all over the globe, including academics, sheikhs, intellectuals, powerful people, and university professors, will be welcomed as guests of the Guests Programme to conduct Umrah and worship at the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah.

The minister expressed gratitude for the Ministry of Islamic Affairs' ongoing great support in a number of areas that help it fulfil its goals of serving Islam and Muslims, disseminating Islamic values and principles, and opposing extremism, fanaticism, and hatred.
