Long-awaited Riyadh Metro is set to open within a few weeks as per Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics

Saleh Al-Jasser, the Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics, has reaffirmed that the eagerly anticipated Riyadh Metro is scheduled to open "within a few weeks," though the precise date is still unknown. 

He said, "The Riyadh Metro project is a historic and transformative initiative," and said that test run operations are the current focus of development. During an interview with Al-Arabiya Business at the Global Logistics Forum, which wrapped off on Monday in Riyadh, Al-Jasser made these statements. 

The minister highlighted that the metro project, being the largest metro project ever built concurrently, will bring about a major change in Riyadh's infrastructure.
