Madinah Governor has launched a project to cultivate agarwood and sandalwood trees across the region

The Madinah Governor Prince Salman bin Sultan has initiated a scheme to cultivate agarwood and sandalwood trees throughout the region. Dhafer Al-Fahad, CEO of the Jazan Mountainous Development Authority, attended the event and gave a presentation about the authority's efforts, accomplishments, and partnerships. Prince Salman stressed the initiative's strategic importance in fostering environmental sustainability and improving the region's vegetation.

The project's goals are to cultivate environmentally and economically valuable tree species such as coffee and sandalwood, to support the local economy, and to raise awareness about biodiversity conservation in the Madinah region, all while aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative's environmental objectives.
