The Saudi Green Initiative was officially launched on March 27, every year, during a session of the Council of Ministers presided over by King Salman, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, here on Tuesday.
The Cabinet also decided that the Makkah Clock, the internal and external crescent observatories, and the Project of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Centre for Cosmic Sciences and Crescent Observations would all be overseen by the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites.

A draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation between the Saudi Tourism Authority and the Korean Tourism Organisation in the area of tourism promotion and marketing may be discussed and signed with the Korean side by the Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Tourism Authority, or his deputy, as approved by the Council.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaboration in guaranteeing the quality of halal products was approved by the Cabinet between the Indonesian Halal Product Assurance Organising Body and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA). Additionally, a cooperation agreement was approved between the General Directorate of National Security of Tunisia and the Saudi Presidency of State Security for the fight against terrorism and its funding.
