MHRSD called on the private sector establishments to complete documenting contracts of their employees through Qiwa platform

NewsThe private sector organisations have been urged by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) to expeditiously finalise the process of recording the contracts of their Saudi and non-Saudi workers using the ministry's Qiwa platform.
The Ministry had previously set the percentages of compliance that establishments had to meet in terms of contract documents, depending on the total number of employees in the establishment. The following has been set as the proportion of documentation for each quarter of 2023: Twenty percent in the first quarter, fifty percent in the second, and eighty percent in the third.
The Ministry emphasised that enterprises must follow the mandated documentation percentage. This is to guarantee that the parties' rights are protected. The MHRSD affirmed that to properly use the services provided by the Ministry, companies must document at least 80% of their employee contracts on the Qiwa platform. Through this service, the Ministry hopes to uphold the rights of the parties to the contract, offer a safe workplace that promotes employee stability, and boost productivity.
Additionally, it seeks to enhance employment contract data and increase establishments' adherence to the Labour Law, both of which enhance the Kingdom's labour market's appeal. Employers may easily and automatically upload and amend employee contracts with the help of the Qiwa platform's contract documentation tool, which also lets employees confirm the accuracy of their contract data. If both the employee and the company concur, the Ministry will consider the contract to be formalised and accepted.
The Qiwa platform seeks to ensure a stable and appealing work environment while protecting the rights of contractual parties, including employers and employees, and offering all work system services online.
