Ministry of Culture launched the national plan project to collect, document, archive, and manage assets and elements of cultural heritage

The Ministry of Culture, within the Saudi Cultural Memory Centre, initiated a nationwide mission to gather, record, preserve, and oversee cultural heritage aspects and assets. It seeks to maintain the Kingdom's rich cultural legacy while fostering a remembrance of Saudi culture. This includes conducting an extensive inventory of the material and immaterial cultural assets that serve as the cornerstone of the country's identity. The centre is attempting to create a national plan through this effort. By assessing the present attempts to introduce them, it seeks to provide a roadmap for defining, recording, archiving, preserving, and distributing the sources and components of cultural heritage in the Kingdom.

Within the Saudi Cultural Memory Centre, the Ministry of Culture initiated a nationwide mission to gather, record, preserve, and oversee cultural heritage aspects and assets. It seeks to maintain the Kingdom's rich cultural legacy while fostering a remembrance of Saudi culture. This includes conducting an extensive inventory of the material and immaterial cultural assets that serve as the cornerstone of the country's identity. 

In order to determine the components and sources of cultural heritage, the ministry collaborates with stakeholders both inside and outside the cultural system, as well as with different cultural aspects and individual cultural members. This will be accomplished by organising several workshops with local communities from different parts of the Kingdom and stakeholders, inviting them to collaborate on this joint project. This cooperative endeavour serves as a solid foundation for the cultural legacy of the Kingdom.

The ministry has launched this project within the context of its efforts to develop digital cultural content and a trustworthy source of knowledge to preserve Saudi cultural heritage. This will provide the groundwork for a future in which cultural heritage is not only remembered but thrives.
