NewsThe Direct Umrah Program, which enables businesses to serve pilgrims directly and guarantee high standards without middlemen, was introduced by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. The objective is to augment the pilgrims' experiences by means of excursions to historical locations associated with the life of the Prophet and exploration of the Kingdom's attractions.
With 13.5 million pilgrims registered in 2023, the program encourages businesses to embrace professional destination management and trip planning by supporting service providers.
Under the direction of Hajj and Umrah Minister Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, the ministry hosted the second Umrah organizations' summit in Makkah in partnership with the Pilgrim Experience Program, a component of Saudi Vision 2030.
The Saudi Press Agency said on Tuesday that this meeting was in line with the ministry's plan to improve the Umrah experience and enable the private sector to offer services all year round.
Throughout the Umrah journey, it also enforces commitment and compliance requirements and streamlines procedures.
The conference introduced businesses to new performance monitoring tools and indicators while addressing issues and offering solutions to guarantee high-quality services. In addition, new services were introduced and strategic initiatives for the Umrah season were reviewed.
In keeping with Saudi Vision 2030, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is constantly improving Umrah services with the goal of welcoming more pilgrims and offering a rich, distinctive religious experience.
