Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has asked pilgrims and visitors to avoid sleeping in the Grand Mosque in Makkah

In accordance with restrictions and guidelines, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has requested pilgrims and tourists to avoid sleeping in Makkah's Grand Mosque. It has been stated that pilgrims must avoid lying down or sleeping, particularly in hallways, places of prayer, emergency vehicles' tracks, and wheelchair paths for those with impairments.

The Ministry also stated that pilgrims must follow Umrah etiquette, which includes excellent manners with all individuals and a willingness to cooperate, in addition to obeying the directions of organisers and staff. To avoid breaching the requirements, anybody wishing to undertake Umrah must get a permission authorising him to do so before arriving at the Grand Mosque in Makkah through Nusuk or Tawakkalna services.
