NewsThe Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has begun to receive requests for licences to provide Umrah pilgrim services. According to the Ministry, licences for pilgrims' services (a full Umrah organiser) would be accessible all year for firms and organisations interested in performing Umrah services. The licence will be issued in compliance with a variety of rules and criteria established by the ministry through its internet site, with the licence valid for 5 years.
The Ministry's licencing of establishments and companies that provide comprehensive services such as transportation, travel, tourism, and trip organisers aims to enable licensees in the Umrah sector to provide services for pilgrims without the need to rely on the value of reception and farewell services, which is expected to be separated from visa issuance fees to increase competitiveness and improve services by 2023. It also seeks to issue licences for a big and new number of individuals to support the sector with competent personnel who can deliver integrated programmes and services for pilgrims as part of the Ministry's efforts to ensure the industry's continuing development.
