Since its opening on December 1, 2024, the Riyadh Metro has carried over 18 million passengers, the Saudi Press Agency said Friday.
With its six-line network, the metro has now made over 162,000 journeys, spanning over 4.5 million kilometers.
The Blue Line, which runs north-south parallel to Olaya Street, has been the most popular, carrying close to 10 million people in just two months, according to the Royal Commission for Riyadh City.
This line is well-liked by commuters because it passes through some of Riyadh's most inhabited and commercially active regions.
With more than three million passengers, the King Abdullah Financial District station has the most users.
In order to handle the capital's quick growth and growing traffic, the Riyadh Metro was created.
