NewsThe Musaned platform showed that domestic worker insurance is only available with new employment agreements. According to the platform, insurance coverage for domestic worker contracts is not required. While pointing out that the service was initially offered as an experiment, it was said that domestic worker contracts may currently be optionally insured by opting to enter into the insurance service when contracting through the platform.
Musaned claims that the option to provide insurance may be taken at the time the labour contract is signed and that domestic employees cannot be covered once they have arrived in the Kingdom. The site also noted that the price of insurance varies depending on a number of variables, including the worker's job, monthly salary, nationality, age, and contract price. The contract invoice may include a reference to the insurance amount. If an employer decides to terminate the insurance coverage after the housekeeper arrives, he or she should get in touch with the insurance provider directly in line with the insurer's cancellation procedure.
It is notable that the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has designated the Musaned platform as its official website for home employment and domestic services, outlining the rights and obligations of the employer and employee. The platform offers a variety of services to enhance and simplify the hiring process. With the intention of safeguarding the rights of the worker and the employer by compensating them through a variety of insurance advantages, it implemented insurance on domestic worker contracts. The Council of Ministers later accepted the ministry's earlier-introduced proposal to tie insurance coverage to labour agreements for recruiting domestic helpers.
